What We Do
Specialized Response When It Matters Most
The FloridaOne IMT is a trained and mission-ready team equipped to lead on-the-ground coordination during large-scale incidents. Operating under the Incident Command System (ICS), the IMT supports hurricanes, wildfires, evacuations, and other major emergencies.

Depending on the mission, teams may deploy with 3–7 core members and expand as needed based on incident complexity and objectives.
Incident Commander / Deputy
Oversees the entire response operation
Sets objectives and priorities
Delegates authority to section chiefs
Maintains communication with agency leadership and stakeholders
Planning Section Chief
Develops the Incident Action Plan (IAP)
Tracks resources and incident status
Coordinates meetings and briefings
Supports long-term strategic planning
Operations Section Chief
Directs all tactical field operations
Implements the IAP in real-time
Coordinates with functional units and branches
Ensures safe and effective resource deployment
Logistics Section Chief
Provides essential support: facilities, supplies, and equipment
Manages communications, transportation, and IT services
Maintains accountability for support resources
Ensures responder needs are met during deployment
Finance/Admin Section Chief
Tracks incident-related costs and personnel time
Manages contracts, claims, and procurement
Ensures financial accountability and compliance
Supports cost recovery and documentation
Safety Officer
Monitors responder safety across all operations
Identifies and mitigates potential hazards
Advises command staff on safety protocols
Ensures compliance with OSHA and related guidelines
Public Information Officer (PIO)
Acts as the official spokesperson for the incident
Coordinates media relations and public updates
Ensures accurate and timely communication
Manages messaging across platforms and agencies

First Deployment: Hurricane Milton
After Hurricane Milton, the FloridaOne IMT was tasked with reducing the medical shelter population in Lutz, Florida. In just one week, the team helped relocate over 100 medically vulnerable clients to more appropriate care settings.
