A Mobile Medical Force for Florida
The FloridaOne Regional Medical Assistance Team (RMAT) serves as a state-level counterpart to the federal DMAT, built and funded by FloridaOne. Based in the Panhandle, the RMAT is capable of deploying to disaster zones statewide to provide critical medical care in coordination with regional emergency systems. Whether it's a hurricane, pandemic, or special event, RMAT brings lifesaving skills where they're needed most.
How We Operate
RMAT Team Roles & Capabilities
Medical Staff
Specializes in emergency triage, patient care, and field treatment in austere conditions.
- Physicians, PAs, NPs
- Paramedics & EMTs
- RNs, RTs, Pharmacists
Planning Section
Supports situational analysis, strategy, and deployment coordination. Develops Incident Action Plans and monitors evolving needs.
Logistics Section
Manages equipment, medical shelters, supply chains, and transport. Ensures teams are outfitted and ready for any field condition.
Finance / Admin Section
Tracks deployments, documentation, reimbursements, and operational costs. Supports post-incident reporting and compliance.
Safety Officer
Oversees responder and patient safety throughout missions. Mitigates hazards, enforces protocol, and coordinates with team leads.
Command Staff
Led by Team Commander Donald "D.J." Folley. Ensures unified direction, compliance with RMAT standards, and mission execution.
